  • WHAT MEDICAL EMERGENCY SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE?
    Porvenir, the community next to the Ecolodge is very small and does not have emergency services. Iquitos has emergency services at the Social Security Hospital and several medical centers. Serious cases are referred to Lima.
    All our guides have all the knowledge and skills to help people in remote places.
  • HOW ARE THE ROOMS?
    They are designed to maximize the silence, privacy and breadth of the landscape, ensuring a deep rest after a day of exploration. In order to withdraw from everyday life, one must leave the everyday behind. Our rooms are not equipped with wifi, televisions or minibars.
    The details and the simplicity are central elements for Amazon Garden Ecolodge.
  • DO THE ROOMS HAVE AN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM?
    It is not necessary. The architecture of the bungalows is designed to maximize ventilation and the use of drafts.
  • WHAT TYPES OF BOATS ARE USED TO MOVE IN THE RIVERS?
    We have five boats: 3 aluminum sliders with capacity for 8 people each and 2 wooden boats with capacity for 15 and 25 people, respectively.
  • IS THERE A SIGNAL FOR MOBILE PHONE IN AMAZON GARDEN ECOLODGE?
    There is restricted connectivity for all types of mobile phones at a single point in the Ecolodge. Our invitation is to disconnect and to live a jungle experience.
  • WHEN TO GO TO IQUITOS?
    The city of Iquitos has a warm and rainy climate throughout the year. The maximum annual average temperature is 31 ° C (88 ° F) and the minimum annual average is 21 ° C (70 ° F).
    Iquitos has exclusively two stations, which depend on the water level of the river. Each one pleases visitors in different ways.
    Winters are high water seasons. They are calm and with constant rains, it arrives in December and ends in May, with March and April tending to include the wetter climate. During this season, the river and its tributaries increase their flow allowing the excursion boats to enter the flooded forest.
    In May, the Amazon River reaches its highest levels, falling steadily about 9 meters or 12 meters to its lowest point in October, and then increases steadily cyclically.
    Summers are the seasons of low waters (June-November). They are hot, but somewhat unstable. Although July and August are the driest months, some periods of downpours remain. Sunny days and good weather are common, reaching high temperatures of 30 ° C and on average 32 ° C. During this season, the river retreats and form beautiful white sand beaches.
  • HOW IS THE FOOD?
    The dishes have been designed so that the travelers can carry out different activities and always feel good, agile and light.
    In addition, based on our comfort of the essentials we seek to offer pure flavors from top quality regional ingredients. Making the best of each product is our motto.
    We have a wine list selected for those who wish to taste different alternatives.
  • IS THE TIP INCLUDED IN THE GENERAL RATE?
    No. At Amazon Garden Ecolodge, tips are voluntary. If you wish to leave one, you can do so at the reception at the end of your stay. It is suggested to tip the guide directly and the Staff in a mailbox that is in reception. The latter will be shared among all those who have contributed to make your trip a unique experience.
  • WHAT IS THE CHILDREN’S RATE?
    Children 6 to 11 years old pay 50% of the rate and children up to 5 years old are released as they sleep with their parents.

REPORTS – RESERVATIONS

At the moment of making your reservation via maiI or via telephone, this should indicate the following:

  • Full name of Passenger, age, Passport number or ID, Nationality and Language.
  • Flight information in / out.
  • Fixed telephone contact or e-mail.
  • Selected program.
  • All confirmation, reconfirmation and cancellation must be in compliance with the Amazon Garden Ecolodge reservation department.
  • Reservations confirmations will be answered within a maximum of 48 hours, indicating rate, date of arrival and departure, reservation status and payment deadline.
  • The Reservation Department’s opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00 hrs.
  • For better attention to the passenger, the passenger must indicate if he has any physical disability or disability and if he receives any special meals.
  • Reservation payments must be made 10 days in advance.

PENALTY

  • Any cancellation must be in writing.
  • If the cancellation is made within 07 days prior to the execution of the program, 35% of the cost of the program will be charged per passenger.

VARIATION IN THE ITINERARY

  • Amazon Garden Ecolodge will not assume any liability or expense for any damage or injury caused by acts of nature risk, after taking preventive measures.
  • Amazon Garden Ecolodge reserves the right to modify or cancel any tour as long as it is for the benefit and protection of the guests.
  • The schedules of our programs may vary according to the weather and changes in schedules of domestic flights.
