  • WHAT EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE?
    Porvenir, the neighboring community to the Ecolodge is very small and does not have emergency services. Iquitos has emergency services at the Social Security Hospital, private clinics and several medical centers. Serious cases are referred to Lima.
    All of our guides have all the knowledge and skills to help people in remote places.
  • WHAT ARE THE ROOMS LIKE?
    They are designed to make the most of the silence, privacy and spaciousness of the landscape, guaranteeing a deep rest after a day of exploring. In order to withdraw from everyday life, you must leave the everyday behind. Our rooms are not equipped with Wi-Fi, televisions or minibars.

  • DO THE ROOMS HAVE AN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM?
    There's no need. The architecture of the bungalows is designed to maximize ventilation and the use of drafts.
  • WHAT KIND OF BOATS ARE USED TO MOVE ON THE RIVERS?
    We have five boats: 3 aluminum sliders with capacity for 8 people each and 2 wooden motor boats, with capacities for 15 and 25 people, respectively.
  • IS THERE SIGNAL FOR MOBILE PHONE IN AMAZON GARDEN ECOLODGE?
    There is restricted connectivity for all types of mobile phones in a single point of the Ecolodge, which is located in the lookout tower. Our invitation is to disconnect and live a jungle experience.
  • WHEN TO GO TO IQUITOS?
    The city of Iquitos has a warm and rainy climate throughout the year. The mean annual maximum temperature is 31 ° C (88ºF) and the mean annual minimum is 21 ° C (70ºF). Iquitos has exclusively two stations, which depend on the water level of the river. Each one pleases visitors in different ways.
    Winters are the high water seasons. They are gentle and with constant rains, arriving in December and ending in May, with March and April tending to include more humid weather. During this season, the river and its tributaries increase their flow allowing excursion boats to enter the flooded forest. In May, the Amazon River reaches its highest levels, steadily dropping 30 to 12 feet to its lowest point in October, and then steadily rising cyclically.
    Summers are the low water seasons (June-November). They are hot, but somewhat unstable. Although July and August are the driest months, there are still some periods of downpour. Sunny days and good weather are common, reaching high temperatures of 30 ° C and an average of 32 ° C. During this season, the river retreats and beautiful white sand beaches form.
  • HOW IS THE FOOD?
    The dishes have been designed so that travelers can carry out different activities and always feel good, agile and light. Our products are fundamentally organic, from our own farm, as well as the chickens and ducks that circulate through the ecolodge, whom we call "happy birds."
    In addition, based on our comfort of the essentials, we seek to offer pure flavors from top quality regional ingredients. Getting the best out of each product is our motto. We have a selected wine list for those who want to taste different alternatives.
  • IS THE TIP INCLUDED IN THE GENERAL RATE?
    No. At Amazon Garden Ecolodge tips are voluntary. If you wish to leave one, you can do so at the reception at the end of your stay. It is suggested to tip the guide directly and the Staff in a mailbox located at the reception. The latter will be distributed among all those who contributed to making your trip a unique experience.
  • WHAT IS THE RATE FOR CHILDREN?
    Children from 5 to 11 years old pay 50% of the regular rate and children under 5 years old are released as long as they sleep with their parents.

REPORTS - RESERVATIONS

When making your reservation via email or by phone / whatsapp, it must indicate the following:


  • Passenger's full name, age, Passport or DNI number, Nationality and Language.
  • In / out flight information.
  • Fixed telephone contact or e-mail.
  • Selected program.
  • All confirmation, reconfirmation and cancellation must have the approval of the Amazon Garden Ecolodge reservations department.
  • Reservation confirmations will be answered within a maximum period of 48 hours, indicating the rate, arrival and departure date, reservation status and payment deadline.
  • The Reservations Department's office hours are Monday through Friday from 09:00 to 18:00.
  • For a better attention to the passenger, he must indicate if he has any physical impairment or disability and if he receives any special food.
  • Reservation payments must be made 10 days in advance.
PENALTY

  • Any cancellation must be in writing.
  • If the cancellation is made within 30 days prior to the execution of the program, 30% of the cost of the program per passenger will be charged. There will be no refund of money for cancellation or modification of reservation within 15 days prior to the arrival of the passenger. Only in the case of illness, injury or temporary disability, the passenger will have the benefit of rescheduling his reservation for himself or for a third party if applicable, keeping the same amount or sum of money pre-deposited to our accounts, these changes They will be subject to the availability of the Ecolodge and the current rates.
VARIATION IN ITINERARIES

  • Amazon Garden Ecolodge will not assume responsibilities or expenses for any damage or harm caused by acts of risks of nature, after taking preventive measures.
  • Amazon Garden Ecolodge reserves the right to modify or cancel any tour as it is for the benefit and protection of guests.
  • The itineraries of our programs could suffer variations according to the weather and the changes of schedules of the national flights.
